Start with something small
Most people who want to do this start too big. A truck means five thousand dollars, storage, tools, and in some places a dealer licence before you can even bid.
Start with a golf cart. Or a four-wheeler, or a side-by-side.
Five hundred, not five thousand
Small equipment goes cheap and sells steadily. You can be wrong about your first one and it costs you a weekend, not a month's income.
No licence, no shipping
Nobody ships a golf cart. You go and collect it — which sidesteps the two things that stop most first-time buyers before they start.
The same skill
Judging damage, reading a listing, knowing when to stop bidding. Identical instincts, far cheaper tuition.
Once you've done that two or three times, a truck isn't intimidating — it's the same process with another zero on it.
What's coming
A full walkthrough: finding the auctions, registering, judging damage from photos, setting a bid ceiling that accounts for repair, collection, and the paperwork afterwards.
